Privacypolicy

01Who we are

British Club Netball ("the club", "we", "us") is the netball side of the British Club in Bahrain, at British Club Bahrain, Road 3748, Umm Al Hassam. We run this website and we look after the personal data you give us through it.

We follow Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018).

02What we collect

• Charity tournament sign-ups: your name, phone number and team, whether you'd umpire and at what level, any donation you pledge, and your ticks for the small print and the medical waiver.
• Club forms, like joining the club, RSVPs and kit orders: the answers you give, which can include your name, email address, phone number and age.
• Juniors: for players aged 13 and under, a parent or guardian fills in the form and gives us their own contact details too.
• Scorers: the name you type on the scoresheet, so the score desk knows who is scoring each court.
• Committee accounts: your name, email address and committee role, so you can sign in to the committee dashboard with Google or an email link. There are no passwords.
• Photos taken at sessions, league games and tournaments, which may show you.

03How we use it

• To run sessions, teams and tournaments: team sheets, fixtures, umpire rotas and scores.
• To get in touch about something you signed up for, usually on WhatsApp.
• To keep track of entry fees and donations for each event's charity.
• To look after you: the medical waiver tells us we can give first aid if you need it.
• To share moments from the club on this website and on Instagram.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

04What everyone can see

• Team names, team colours, fixtures, scores and the league table on each event page.
• Team sheets show a short version of your name, like "Sara K.", but only if you tick the box to show it. Otherwise you are counted as a player with no name.
• Phone numbers, email addresses and form answers are never public. Only committee members whose role needs them can see them.

05Photos

We take photos at sessions and events and share some of them here and on Instagram @bcnetball_bh. If you'd rather not be in them, tell us on the day, or message us and we'll take a photo down.

We never put a junior's full name next to their photo.

06Who helps us run the site

• Google Firebase stores our database and handles committee sign-in. Our data is kept in Google's Doha region.
• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores our photos.
• If you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram, those apps' own privacy policies apply to the chat.

The committee can download form answers as a spreadsheet to run an event. Those copies stay with the committee.

07Cookies and your device

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and there are no analytics on the site.

To load faster and remember your place, the site keeps a few small things on your device: recent club info, your trophy vote, the hidden netballs you've found and your scorer name. Signing in to the committee dashboard or a scoresheet keeps you signed in on that device. Cloudflare may set a cookie it needs to keep the site secure. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

08Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop us using it, including taking down a photo. Message us on WhatsApp or by email and we'll reply within [30 days].

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, do let us know. If no agreement can be reached, you can refer it to Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Authority.

09Children

Junior Mondays are for players aged 13 and under. We only take a junior's details from their parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian can ask us about, or remove, their child's details at any time.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
